چکیده
Based on the self-built experimental setup, propagation law of explosion flame hydrogen/methane premixed gas with different hydrogen volume fractions in equivalent ratios was investigated under action a corrugated fire-retardant core. The study shows that isolation and suppression effect core at equivalence is either promoted or suppressed, quenched without mixing when ?=0.8and1.0, also ?=1.2indifferent fractions. flame-retardant significantly affected extinguishing ?=1.2, speed overpressure showed similar trend hydrogen. When quenched, depressed inward to form reverse spherical cell flame, diffusion combustion phenomen occurs, it lasts long time, eventually, reaction extinguished. penetrated during rest conditions. ?=1.0, most violent, its jump rapidly until reaches peak.

Cyclic flame propagation in premixed combustion
In experiments of hot surface ignition and subsequent flame propagation, a puffing flame instability is observed in mixtures that are stagnant and premixed prior to ignition. By varying the size of the hot surface, power input, and combustion vessel volume, it was determined that the instability is a function of the interaction of the flame, with the fluid flow induced by the combustion product...
متن کاملFlame Flashback and Propagation of Premixed Flames near a Wall
The flashback or propagation of premixed flames along the near-wall low-velocity region at the base of a laminar boundary layer of a reactive mixture has been studied numerically. The analysis, carried out using the constant density approximation for an Arrhenius overall reaction, accounts for the effects of the Lewis number of the fuel. The flow field, as seen by an observer moving with the fr...
متن کاملSimulations of edge-flame propagation in turbulent non-premixed jets
Ignition, flame propagation and stabilisation have been simulated and analysed in a turbulent jet of non-premixed methane and air. The first order Conditional Moment Closure (CMC) turbulent combustion model was fully coupled with a Reynolds-Averaged Navier Stokes (RANS) flow simulation. A CMC model was developed to account for spark ignition. The over-prediction of turbulent flame propagation w...
متن کاملEffect of CH4–Air Ratios on Gas Explosion Flame Microstructure and Propagation Behaviors
To reveal the inner mechanism of gas explosion dynamic behavior affected by gas equivalent concentration, a high speed Schlieren image system and flow field measurement technology was applied to record the gas explosion flame propagation and flame structure transition. The results show that a flame front structure transition occurs, followed by a flame accelerating propagation process. The lami...

Nowadays, the major challenge of diesel engines development is simultaneous nitrogen oxides and soot emissions reduction without the thermal efficiency drop. Hence, different combustion concepts should be investigated to reach optimum emission and performance conditions in diesel engines without expensive aftertreatment systems. This paper presents the results of a study on a dual fuel (DF) eng...
